My name is Rebekah Raymond, and I bring over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness space. For many years I was a Nutritionist, Caterer, and Speaker dedicated to guiding families and individuals along their wellness journeys. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of families enhance their health and happiness – both as a collective unit and as individual members – believing that family wellness begins with each person taking responsibility for their own well-being.
As a mother of four young adult children who are healthy, balanced, and joyful, I understand firsthand the importance of nurturing not only the body but also emotional and mental resilience. This holistic perspective is central to my approach, which emphasises the interconnectedness of physical health, emotional and mental stability, and overall life fulfillment.
My purpose is rooted in a deep desire to improve the quality of people’s lives. I am passionate about empowering individuals to enhance their physical health through proper nutrition and lifestyle, while also supporting emotional and mental wellness through nervous system regulation and holistic practices. I believe that true wellness encompasses all facets of life – mind, body, relationships, and purpose – and that fostering balance across these areas paves the way for lasting happiness.
I am privileged to be part of the JOYA wellness program, an innovative platform with a mission to inspire 1 million people to lead great lives through comprehensive wellness education and support. At its core, JOYA seeks to become the premier source of information and inspiration for creating fulfillment, happiness, and health in everyday life. The program is designed to serve young families and individuals aged 25-40, recognising the unique challenges and opportunities this vibrant demographic faces in today’s fast-paced, digital world.
Joya is structured around four key quadrants: Health, Relationships, Finances, and Connection. As the expert within the Health quadrant, my focus is to provide actionable insights and strategies around diet, nutrition, gut health, mental well-being, fitness, diagnostics and trackers, and work/life balance. I am committed to empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward their health goals, fostering resilience and vitality that extends into all areas of life.
In addition to my role in the Health quadrant, I will also contribute to the Connection quadrant – encouraging deeper bonding with spouses or significant others, family, friends, community, and nature. This includes exploring spirituality, purpose, hobbies, giving back, and cultivating joyful, meaningful relationships. I believe that genuine connection and inner fulfillment are vital for a happy, balanced life and are essential for fostering thriving communities.
My vision for JOYA is to create a dynamic, empowering platform that transforms lives – one family at a time – and ripples outward to create healthier, happier communities across Australia and beyond. I want to teach young people and families the foundational principles of great health, not just as a means to prevent illness, but as a pathway to joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
I see this platform as a catalyst for bringing people back to what truly matters: real, whole foods, genuine human connection, and a purpose-driven existence. In today’s digital age, the proliferation of screens and instant gratification has led to reduced face-to-face interaction, eroded necessary social skills, and contributed to a rising tide of loneliness and disconnection. The aftermath of COVID-19 has further amplified these challenges, underscoring the urgent need for authentic community and engagement.
The primary challenges we face include the pervasive influence of processed and fake foods that undermine our health and the decline of meaningful human interactions, which are vital for emotional resilience. The cycle of loneliness, isolation, and poor health has become a pressing concern, yet it also presents an opportunity for transformation.
The solution lies in education and action – empowering individuals to return to whole foods that nourish the body and brain, recognizing the fundamental link between gut health and mental well-being. It also involves fostering stronger connections with family, friends, community, and the environment. By equipping families with the tools for better health and greater connection, we can set in motion a ripple effect – creating groundswell change that elevates entire communities.
My goal is to support this movement, helping each family become a beacon of health, happiness, and connection. As we start inwards with ourselves and our loved ones, we can build a resilient, joyful society that values wellbeing, fosters genuine bonds, and cares for our planet.
